Thank you for your interest in the Jefferson County Fair! The Jefferson County Fair has been in operation since 1853. This fair is known around the country as one of the top agricultural fairs featuring the best in: family entertainment, open class and crop exhibits, dairy cows, horses, beef, lamb, poultry, goats, llamas, dogs, cats, sheep, rabbits, pigeons and much more. Approximately 45,000 people attend the fair each year in July. Persons attending the fair are VERY interactive and enjoy one-on-one experiences with products and businesses.
For the past 8 years the Jefferson County Fair has chosen a theme each year to highlight the agriculture industry. The fair coordinates advertising, sponsors, activities and vendors around each year’s theme. The 166th Jefferson County Fair, July 11 - 15, 2018 is “Year of the Chicken!”
