The Jefferson County Fair offers an opportunity for individuals ages 5 and up to participate in the competitive exhibits departments at the Fair each year. The rules for entering to be an Exhibitor at the Fair are published in the Jefferson County
Entry Information. Each exhibitor must choose from the following Divisions to participate in:
Junior Division: Junior Exhibitors must be 8 - 19 years of age on January 1 of the current fair year and in good standings of the
youth organization they represent in order to participate in the Fair. Jefferson County Fair Junior Division entries are open to members of 4-H, FFA, or another recognized youth organization under adult leadership which has an education program appropriate to that organization and is approved by the Fair prior to
March 1st of the current Fair year. Youth Organization leaders of a group other than 4-H or FFA should fill out this
form each year.
Open Division: Open Exhibitors must be from Jefferson County and adjoining counties and entries are allowed as space permits. The Open Division includes the Future Exhibitor Classes that are designed for anyone ages 5 - 7.
Senior Division: Senior Exhibitors must be age 62 and older, from Jefferson County and adjoining counties and entries are allowed as space permits.
You may enter up to 2 Divisions. Example: Junior & Open, Open & Senior. If you enter in more than one Division, your entries must be different. You cannot enter the same item in 2 Divisions.
Departments & Classes: There are a variety of Departments to enter in that are often referred to as Non-animal and Animal. Non-animal Departments include but are not limited to; arts, photography, foods, plants, flowers, and woodworking. Animal Departments include; Dairy & Beef Cattle, Swine, Sheep, Goats, Poultry, Rabbits, Cats, Dogs, and Horses. The Departments are further broken down into Classes.
Exhibitor Admission Special: An Exhibitor in any Division may add an Admission Wristband to their account at time of Entry via the Fair's Showorks entry program. The cost of the wristband is $15.00 and allows you unlimited entry into the Fair all 5 days! If you are completing a group/family entry please ensure that each person is accounted for before check-out. Exhibitor Admission Wristbands are not offered in person at the Fair Office and are not offered after June 1st.
